Used Eagle Auto Parts

Various imported and homebuilt cars, along with Jeep products, were sold mostly by former AMC dealers until 1998. While it was short-lived, Eagle Vision sold more than 115,000 units in impressive numbers. The brand Eagle has gradually been removed. After Chrysler's almost similar Dodge Colt and Plymouth Colt models were cancelled after the 1994 season, Chrysler stopped the Mitsubishi Mirage summit in 1996. After ten years of sluggish sales, in September 1997 Chrysler announced the end of Eagle's brand and, soon afterwards, the last Eagle Talon in 1998.

Used Eagle Auto Parts

Since buying an American Motors Corporation (AMC) in 1987 and sales at the end of the 1998 model year, Eagle was a trademark of the Chrysler Corporation. It was targeted at the collector and marketed as "European" rather than equivalent versions by the automaker. In the model year 1980 the name "Eagle" was adopted by Chrysler from the four-wheel drive models of AMC Eagle. It was the latest fully U.S.-designed American Motors automobiles and perhaps the first new mass-producing crossover car. The name Eagle featured in a range of Jeep trim kits and special versions like the J-10, the Cherokee SJ, as well as the CJ-5 and CJ-7 from 1976.

At the conclusion of its design period in 1997, the Eagle Vision was discontinued but the related Dodge Intrepid and Chrysler Concorde were reworked in 1998 and extended to 2004. Only Eagle Talon, based on Mitsubishi Eclipse, remained in 1998, and was discontinued with the Eagle brand. Initially, Chrysler had plans to restructure the 1999 Eagle Vision. Prototypes named the VanCuren Adle were also found with the Eagle logo, and development of the Vision went on to provide the dealers with the old car sufficient stock for the new car to be launched.

However, just a few months later, Chrysler management decided to pull the plug on the Eagle name. The car they worked on was sold as the Chrysler 300M. The name of the AMC vanished with Chrysler's takeover of the independent car-maker, but the name of the Eagle was continued into the '90s, until it was eventually discontinued in 1998, using different models from Renault and Mitsubishi. The Eagle cars did not succeed, because the automaker did not have a cohesive commercial plan for a combination of car types and lacked efficient sales efforts on the car market.Chrysler finally could not get fully attached to the nameplate and left shoppers puzzled about what Eagle was — whether they knew the name.
